ICEICS Graduate Opportunities

*Dartmouth College, Thayer School of Engineering invites applications for Ph.D. students in materials science with a focus on snow, firn and ice microstructure and gas transport for ice core interpretation. Applicants may have undergraduate degrees in materials science, engineering, physics, chemistry, or mathematics. Dissertation research will involve field work, laboratory work, advanced microscopy and modeling, and will include interdisciplinary collaboration with students and faculty from partnering institutions. Opportunities to conduct research in international collaborating laboratories as part of the dissertation research may be available.
